Luca's Blog
Cavatappo (Italian for corkscrew) first opened in 2005. But my love for collecting corkscrews started on a whim in 1998, around the opening of Luca's Restaurant, when a customer handed me an Alessy designed corkscrew. Now, approaching a decade of serving the Upper East Side and three (3) wine bars later, we have a collection of over 200 corkscrews, some dating as far back the mid 1800's. Next time you stop by, ask about our collection. And if you're looking to rid yourself of an unwanted collection of your mother's old corkscrews, think nowhere else other than Cavatappo.
